Merchants have arrived, the goblin death trap is almost ready, and our drink production is slowly becoming what it should be although we are still quite a lot lower than I would like.
26th Limestone,
We traded most of the useless goblin armor and a couple roasts with the dwarven caravan as well as sent some offering to the king. In return we recieved much food, drink and steel. Overall a good haul.
21st of Sandstone,
Very little is happening and the goblin death trap is inching ever closer to completion just a few more traps and it will be ready.
24th Sandstone,
The traders have finally left and the lever for the goblin trap is now able to be activated and tested.
25th Sandstone,
A rousing success, but the poor dog didn't stand a chance...
28th Sandstone,
Migrants, great. More mouths to feed is what they are. We are now at a total population of 92. 170 counting the animals.
11th Timber,
Began work on a great wall and aquaduct, hopefully everything can be completed before years end.
2nd Moonstone,
It is now winter, the harsh northern air flows over everything. Forntunately it is still warm enough for the water to stay that way.
7th Moonstone,
I've been informed we have struck Tetrahedrite, a very rare mineral indeed! We will begin excavating it all immediately.
Amethyst was struck immediately afterwards good... excellent.
18th Moonstone,
Curse them, An Ambush. 6 measely goblin wrestlers, a quick response from the armies dogs took care of them post haste but not before one foolish recruit ran between three of the wrestlers sending one flying before being torn apart. The parents have been sent flowers.
21st Moonstone,
Before the bodies could even be cleaned up another group of goblins try ambushing the fortress. A slight skirmish between on of the and a war dog insues, the dog kills one by ripping of its head in a single bite and another by ripping off its lower half before succumbing to its own wounds. They are heading toward the goblin death trap. 2 wrestlers are caught in cage traps and the rest run before the doors close in on them. A snatcher is also caught by our front entrance.
12th Opal,
Another Fey Mood, this time a woodworker by the name of Kogan Ishiden. Lets hope its more useful than the others.
15th Opal,
I had a feeling I was right on when a designated some more exploratory mining on the lower levels, We have struck Gold!
27th Opal,
I will say I'm not too fond of animal, but this is a very nice animal trap. Also Legendary carpenter.
15th Obsidian,
My time as overseer here is almost through, With the help of the mayor Ive been able to complete some great projects throughout the fortress increasing value and hopefully making it kingworthy. We will see.
The Waterfall inside the dining room is almost complete a couple dozen more walls floors and a windmill or two should finish it. (everything but the windmills is already designated.)

My Time as overseer is up as per the sacred traditions of the Dwarven people. I hand the reins off to the next fellow in line for the seat.
