I'll go first, rules, let's make this interesting.
No massive fields of traps,
No atom smashers.
Basically, no impenetrable fortresses of solitude unless the plan is superdwarvenly difficult and devious and monstorously huge in size.
Also, we could add a little spice.
For instance, a mega construction could be mandatory to start by some arbitrary year,
or an altar can demand a sacrifice once a year.
There's really a lot of room for flavor here.

More rules:

Starting location can't freeze or boil (heh).
No killing caravans please.
No world flooding, lava or water.  It slows things down and it's cheap.

Are tilesets too confusing?  I always use this one:  http://mayday.w.staszic.waw.pl/df.htm   ...it's awesome.

Flashzom is starting!  Flash, when you're done with worldgen, give us all like 4 or 5 choices of starting locations that we can vote on.  :)  Go ahead and do that now if you have the time, otherwise I can do it.

Oh, and I like the naming convention: pick a dwarf upon start of your turn and name it after yourself.

You can do the worldgen for now, I'm currently working on a paper, but once it's done, I'd be glad to start.
Be warned though, this is my first succession fort, and I might need a little help in figuring out the uploads and what not.

Yes, I need help with the uploads too.  Unless anyone has a better idea, after you're done with your turn, email it to me.  From there, I'll make a copy and mail it to the next person in line.  How does that sound to everyone?

Don't worry, it'll get going soon enough once the logs start. Just draft up an interesting site and I can start tomorrow most likely.

Okay, here is the screen that came up after worldgen.  I love the location I have selected, "The Fondled Dunes."  Silly naming routine!

Also, I like the world's name. :)

I used Photobucket.com to post this.  Works good!

Vincent is second, good.

I guess I'll go third.  :)

I propose scorching desert. It must be done. If with a single aquifer, all the better.
