 I remember seeing that. I think, as I don't have flash on this laptop and cannot verify if this is new or old. Bah, dates are for dorks!

 But yes, it is a shame creatures released from cages generally don't chase after your dwarves. Goblins just kinda move away, as do most captured creatures. Perhaps only hostile creatures and megabeasts chase dwarves after being released, so there isn't a moshpit of death.

The only one I already knew of was Sankis  ;_;   I just started coming back to DF after being away for a long time.  Would anyone provide me the links to the other legendary stories? I'd like to catch up on the kitten slaying.

Sankis is good, but his fort self destructed, so I'd say he's out.
HSOLAD is funny but in my opinion, it looks too much like a crumpet.  Ironblood would just eat it, hence my vote for him.
