RPG - Founding of a new COUNTRY! - The non-insane retake.
« on: January 29, 2009, 12:33:54 pm »

So. I've had this omgwtf excellent supa-doopah idea for a few... minutes to be honest. I was obsessed with the idea of a communistic dictato... republic.

Now, the point is, we bought a 25 km2 plot of land in Bolivia. We have nothing to start out with except some food, tools (axes, shovels, spades, you name it), weapons (some guns, you'll see why) and our pioneering spirit. We are to turn this small spot of jungle into a self-sufficient metropolis. Our goals are:

-reach self-sufficiency.
-increase population
-declare independency, be aknowledged as a country and maintain independency (here the guns come in)
-errect some kind of government (communism ) and get money
-buy new land
-repeat.

For the sake of possibility, our plot of land contains a river with drinkable water, is covered with rainforest and has ore deposits.

Striking the earth has never been so political and problematic!

I'm searching for a few colleagues, like four will do it. Although we'll have immigrants, females would be nice too, for obvious reasons.

As for me:
Patrick Cote
Nationality: Canadian
Age: 22
Height: 1.86m
Description: While not very muscular, his uncanny obsession will let him work more than his stature might suggest. His real qualities lie in his intelligence and leadership. He is also a bit incompetent in fine works.
Short-Bio: Has been obsessed with the idea of founding a new country. With a few other people, he has bought a plot of land in brasilia and is willed to turn it into a city.

Also, no super-chars please. We also need a balanced group. Maybe a true body builder, a gearhead and a soldier would be nice, but feel free.

Patrick took a hack from the utility stockpile and struck it into the ground with all force he had. After a few centimeters, it stopped. He twisted and turned the hack in each direction, and after a while, some earth broke off, leaving a small hole. Patrick was already starting to sweat. This is not going to be easy.
"Hey Strife (yup, you're my farmboy now), I think we'll need a plough or something. This'll take ages by hand."

And if anyone turns FUBAR again, this RPG bought it.

Got it!
Dave (Koyanoke Tichichiwa)

He thinks he can speak japanese but he really can't. He also believes he is of japanese decent when him and all his family were born in Arkanses. Seeking refuge from the "Dirty American Fachists" Dave flees to the farthest reaches of the globe, and meets up with the gang.

This leads to funny phrases, including:
"Konichiwa, I am Koyanoke Tichichiwa. Terryaki Karate Ty-kwon-doh Nascar Free shample?"
He occasionally dresses up in "Traditional Japanese wear" including a full samuri costume made out of styrofoam he made himself.

(I know I just mispelled at least 10 words there...)

EDIT: Iz eet gewd?

Pandarsenic's character is Japanese, so your character is built almost specifically to follow his around and harass him, right?

Can i grab the gearhead then?

Name: Nikolai Romanavich
Nationality: Russian (yay)
Age: 32
Skills: Also of an average build and slightly above average height (1.95m), Nikolai has studied mechanics since an early age, making him quite proficient with them.
Desc: Usually just wears a T shirt/coat with some old army camo pants he still has; scruffy beard (only shaves like every 2-3 days)
Items: some books on mechanics, his tools, a rifle, a backpack filled with food/ammo/odds and ends

Heh, i made this guy up, but hes about 80% me.  :D

Can I join?

Name: Vladimir Stalin
Nationality: Russian
Age: 29
Skills: He's skilled with any gun you can give him. He was trained as a soldier by Russia before he was kicked out for wanton destruction. As well, he grew up hunting with his father, so he can provide food for the new village.
Small background: His parents were staunch Communists, which is why they named him after the two glorious founders of Soviet Russia. He was raised to be as much of a communist as them, and will defend the ideology to the death.
