Pengy/Penguin/PoH/whatever you like to be called, I'm pretty sure you'll be allowed to join post-starting, so don't worry.

So, any idea of when to expect the first turn?

Also, quick loading screen for game: :P

Okay, I admit that asking about the turn was just an excuse to draw that.

That loading screen is awesome!  :D

About the turn... I have learnt trees take long to draw, and forest have many trees...
Yea, I'm drawing and drawing, I'm almost finnished whit the background and have to draw in the characters- and I'm still cheating and doing it low quality... Doing this scene at highest quality would take days and days to draw.

I haven't really drawn anything in months, so I'm going to see how long it takes me to get something out onto here. I'm also somewhat new to using a drawing tablet so I'm not sure how my stuff will look. So depending on how things go, I may or may not join in. If it's not too late already anyway  :P

Well, I'm using a laptop with a small touchpad, and until I joined this game, I had zero drawing experience. Unless you are saying that I am some sort of demigod, you should be able to draw better than me, especially with a tablet. Just give it a shot. What could go wrong?

Considering the awesomeness of those drawings, you may very well be a demigod.

for me, it's more about how much time it takes me to get a picture done. I have a habit of drawing, erasing, drawing again, erasing, and so on till I feel it's alright to me, and tend to get nowhere. at this moment, I'm still only at the head, and I started drawing this shortly after my last post

Wow, thanks! I wasn't expecting compliments on these. :P

Hopefully, I'll eventually get better, and then I'll conquer the world.

Well, good luck with it. Quality takes time.

I think.

Maybe.

Background will have to do, have posed 3/4 characters, need to find a good image of a spider, and then actualy DRAW them all...

I started this to a large part in order to train whit the tablet i got for Christmas, I cant draw on physical media at all because of all the stuff I use that doesn't even make sense to consider on paper.

Things you need to draw on paper:
- Paper
- brush
- bucket o' paint
- huge amounts of skill and tallent

Things you need to draw on computer:
- computer
- tablet
- at least 3 different professional image manipulation programs, because none has all the features.
- some kind of professional 3d design and rendering software
- various specialized applications depending on motive
- an expensive tablet
- decent internet connection, to google for images
- a digital camera for those that you cant google
- profound understanding of optics, anatomy, evolutionary biology, astronomy, psychology, mathematics, physics, pharmacology, archaeology, architecture, rocket science and engineering.
- a swallow, a coconut, and a wind tunnel
- and some minimal amount of talent

I do the erasing/redrawing thing to, if you have that habit you REALLY should draw on computer, in some program that support layers (both GIMP and photoshop do), and use and use and use that feature a lot, I have heaps and heaps of layers in anything serious I do.

not sure if I should join... on the one hand, this is almost how I play in the battle of the gods (check the first page for a image index), but on the other hand, time is getting less, and I have the strong feeling this will die before the 5th round anyway

heh, yeah I mostly use pencil and paper myself though. I make less mistakes with them, but I still go though erasers pretty quick.
when on the computer however, I tend to use Open Canvas. It could use a few more tools though (like a select tool, so I can move parts around after making them).
But it's got layers, you can rotate your view point, and it lets up to 4 people draw on the same image at the same time over the internet. so it's got some pretty nice parts

It'd be awesome if you joined, the only thing I fear  is that you'd get away whit overpowered stuff because of the art quality and unbalance the game.

Was there not a mention of the helmet of Vabok being a specific kind somewhere back somewhere? if you want it to be that rather than a generic helmet you'd better post an link to an image before I get to that part.

I'm almost done with the line art now. coloring shouldn't take too long.
anyway, my main goal is to improve on speed, and try to get used to the tablet while I'm at it, so I don't think I'll be putting as much work into my later pictures. that should help balance it a bit more at the same time  ;)
