No worries. 

This is a very busy time of year for me, and will continue to be through atleast September, if not October. When I'm not busy outside working on my garden and yard (like I did today), then I'm either working, trying to keep up on my sleep, which being an insomniac isn't easy for me, or I'm doing honeydews for my wife.

I have absolutely every intention of continuing the story whenever I'm able to, and your great support and encouragement really keeps me interested in it, so thank you!

     Well this makes me feel better. I didn't mean to sound like I was jumping ship, but it had been a while. Regardless, I'll keep an eye out for future updates. I truly do want to see how goes. As well, perhaps seeing when and if an antagonist shows their face.

Hey I'm back.

My work stopped us going online, and all I had was my work computer, so for the past 3-4 months I've been working a lot of extra shifts. I now have my own computer, and will be around more. I do plan to continue this, and soon.

Where I've gone off to

All told, I calculated that my computer cost something like 400 additional work-hours (beyond my usual 40 a week), after taxes.

I did do some landscaping at the end of summer, which was very satisfying.

I also came down with a nasty cold not once, but three times, two of which were back to back, since October. In the midst of that my wife and I had an almost month-long training for work (we're with the same company).

So, other than not being online, it was a pretty dark land I traveled through. I feel I've gotten closer to my wife, though, which is worth a lot to me.

I'm out of shape again, but I did manage to finally walk my 6 mile walk. Took me until November, rather than the end of summer. I'd like to be involved in another exercise/health thread, by the way, Barbarossa, if you're interested. I don't want to run it, but I would happily and regularly contribute. I'll start it if I have to, but I'd be concerned about my ability to maintain it well.

I've got a lot on my plate, after having been away for so long, and I don't want to add very much to that.

The holidays, other than getting sick for a third time, were really quite enjoyable.

I can't wait to read more. Honestly, this is better than anything I've read on the forums, or in a fair amount of other places. I've only spotted two, maybe three tiny spelling errors but all are obvious mistypes.

I aspire to be a writer myself, and can only hope that one day my work will be as nice as yours. ^^ I think I may just try and submit to you a character, as little as my attempt at contribution may be.
