There were some issues with a religion-atheism debate, which I tried to quell (but didn't do too well), but it's been cooled down for awhile now.  There are only occasional posts by people who just can't drop it or want it dead.

To make sure we don't stray:

DF:  You can make anything!  It's usually deadly, though, whatever it is - oh lord, CARP!

Alternately: The Brick Testament. It's a really fun look at what the bible would look like if interpreted literally. With Legos.
Just so I remember

These arent really lines, as much as just really great names for worldmap-features I recently found:
-"The jungle of failure"
I ditched that place, despite its perfectness, only to rather embark on a volcano called "The fountain of recreations" :D
The name-generator in this game is a one-liner machine in itself

How would you describe Dwarf Fortress in 1 sentence?

"I have discovered new and exciting ways to screw up."

(My comment after figuring out that not cooking fast enough to keep the hunter from filling all of my barrels was the primary cause of my last fortress's implosion.  No trees = no new barrels; no empty barrels = no booze; no water source + no booze = dying of thirst.)

Urist Austin, Axedwarf.  A dwarf barely alive.  Gentledwarves, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to build the world's first bionic dwarf. Urist Austin will be that dwarf. Better than he was before. Better, stronger, faster.

DF: I'm here to kick ass and eat cat tallow roast, and I'm all out of ass... Because I kicked so much of it earlier.

My variation.

I like: "I'm here to eat face and take names... and my little black book is full!"
