Dwarf Fortress: The only game where carp has more swear value than crap.

Dwarf Fortress: The only game where magma solves everything.

This thread is awesome.

I can't believe I've never posted in this.

One of my favorite lines was Cthulhu's.  "If I had a dollar for every dwarf whose feelings I didn't care about, I'd have seven dollars, with more coming in the fall."

Mine, attributed to Dadamh - "Well, there's a flood somewhere, and this is the only lever that I don't know will destroy the fortress.  Let's give it a try."

Mine - I've built an automatic butchery machine.  It's not so much a machine as a long shaft.  And it doesn't so much butcher as make animals explode.

Also the only game where the answer is "Sure!".

Magma, BANG, and the elves are gone.

the grass, and most of the saplings.  Not the trees or walls, though.
Fixed.

Dwarf Fortress - Needs more Magma.

And thus did the dream of dwarven antigravity fade away, not with a massive explosion or a flood of magma, but with a whimper.

I'm going to be depressed all day now.
