Ducklings follow their mother, or each other if they travel in a long line like this. If you snatch the duck while the lead duckling sees the tail duckling, the ducklings will continue moving "after each other", effectively making a loop. You can do something of the sort in games like Total Annihilation, in theory at least (I should try it now btw.. :)) - place a few tanks in a circle, tell each tank to guard the next tank in the circle. Each tank will move toward the next tank, and since they all have the same speed you will get the same loop - Tank1 moves to tank4->tank2 moves after tank1->tank3 moves after tank2->tank4 moves after tank3->tank1 moves after tank4->ad infinitum.

Sounds good to me. I see this as one of those stupid/hilarious jokes that only geeks get.
@Sean: I must try this in starcraft!

Yeah, it's probably going to work better in starcraft. In TA you can pause to give all the commands at once, but the pathfinding mechanism for tanks is rather relaxed, making them end up huddled near each other and not moving anywhere. It would probably work if it involved the tanks going around a large obstacle. Or with aircraft...

I don't see what's so obscure about the duckling thing...the picture of ducklings following their mom like that is a pretty common one, isn't it?

Alright, the duck one was a joke on my part, I was thinking no one would take me seriously, and it got awkward when they did take me seriously.

But this one's serious, for realz, I can't understand it.

It's about 'The Princess Bride', a movie.

Yeah...there's really no point in explaining it. Just see the movie, it's a classic anyway.

Wait, that's directed to Fisher, never mind.

As if there is a topic that comic would be germane to.
