Normal under what metric?

While geek =/= normal person, that doesn't mean that there can't be "normal geeks" (those who are normal for geeks). Nerds (by y'all's deffinition; I always thought they were synonomous) are "abnormal / non-normal geeks".

Well, I always figured geekiness was a abnormal obsession in any subject, I know sports geeks and starwars geeks and english lit geeks who would identify themselves as such. So while there are common types of geeks (raise your hand if you like videogames way too much), I would agree that there is no "normal" geek, by definition. But I am semantics geek, and thus looking way too far into this.

Nerds are simpler. Uncommon intelligence - critical social skills = nerd.

I went to bed after posting that and I decided that those two would definitely get mentioned by the time I was awake. I was right. That makes me happy. But yeah, I'm resisting the urge to throw out quotes because I could go on for days. So much awesome.

Eh, blame my English teacher for repeatedly using the word wrongly.  I suppose " strongly contrasting" is what I meant.
