So, what? Let me get this straight: Instead of classes, you're supposed to go to a compulsory gathering, of which the sole purpose it is to indoctrinate you with the notion that your school is better than any other school, and how your sports team is better, for they are your sports team, and your school, and therefore they are better.

Yep, pretty much.  Ours are optional though, and ineffective at that since our school has pretty crappy sports teams.

You guys think too much into this :P Sports are only fun when you take sides. That's what those pep rallies are for.

And to magically call forth enthusiasm where there is none. Whell, at least I'll have no more pep rallies ever.

Pep rallies exist to damage my hearing by having a few hundred students all screaming at the same time in a crowded auditorium.

I hate that sort of thing. I know others share the sentiment. I hate it when I'm in a room with people screaming to each other, everything is loud and disorientating, I hate it. I don't freak out, I just try to leave as soon as possible. Clubs are an exception.

 Obligatory debate team joke here.

What club don't have yelling at eachother?
 Wait, lemmie rephrase that:
What cool clubs don't have yelling at eachother?

When the music is loud enough, you're hard pressed to hear the person next to you.

As an actual debater, I feel that I need an Alaska joke here.

Only in Alaska do debates end with thrown chairs.

There's a lot of bandwidth leeching in this thread, and it makes me sad, since it's generally a pretty uncool thing to do.

If you want to show off a comic, link to it, or host a copy of the image on your own personal web space.

PEACE OUT.

Randall himself has stated he's cool with direct linking as long as theres a link to the page, and in a thread such as this, its hard to miss :P

This is like, a necro and stuff.

Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal has me stumped again with it's overcomplicated dirty jokes.

Can someone explain this to me? I'm not quite sure what the yin-yang symbol has to do with anything.

The yin yang symbol represents the dichotomy of all forces in the universe. </obvious>

I think it was just a really bad joke. See, cheating is bad, but the fact that she stopped is good, represented by the tiny white dot of yang within the yin.

Or it went completely over my head too.

It basically means that in every evil act there's a bit of good and in every good act there's a bit of evil.

Kind of like how all extremists are well intentioned. Osama? He literally wants to make a better world. But what he imagines to be a better world is, in fact, not better at all. It's much worse. But he doesn't know that.

Note that this DOES NOT approve his actions. Firstly, the end does not justify the means. Secondly, this analogy works on Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Etc.
