I'm looking for a good Dwarf game

I want a game where I can play as a Dwarf or preferably a team or colony of Dwarves.  Graphics are of no importance.  I want something really deep in its gameplay variety with lots of replay value. I want to create or build a stronghold/castle/citadel/bastille/bastion/rampart from scratch and command it as it grows in a persistent world. 

If only such a game existed. :( It would be the greatest game ever.  Oh well, guess we can't have everything we want.

Is that elf game a joke? I just tried to play it and all my elves fell out of the tree and went splat. :(

Then the bunnies feasted on their remains.

I've just completed it. It's quite short and there's no boss in the end. So, while idea is nice, the implementation is not too cool.
