Since the next version is nearing completion, can we get a preview of the new raws? We modders will kinda need them.

And please spare yourself the trouble of making another thread on FATAL. I don't know the game, but according to wikipedia:

Even if the overly complex mechanics wouldn't be so much of a problem for a computer game, there's is no way that the focus on sexual violence of the game wouldn't quickly turn any thread about it into a shit storm then to be locked by Toady.

Since the next version is nearing completion, can we get a preview of the new raws? We modders will kinda need them.

It'd help if you were more specific about what you'd like to see.  We've already seen up-to-date weapon defs and creature defs for a dwarf and a fluffy wambler, and of course we have the raws preview from a year ago.

Off the top of my head, I'd like to see raws for:
  • updated material templates
  • updated tissue templates
  • a magma man
  • a venom syndrome with localized effects
  • a custom workshop
  • entity positions for dwarves or whoever
  • the two creature variations

I meant more like "everything you can spare". I don't feel like requesting for specific things, just about everything save languages and engravings is important. Also, the already-posted raws are likely to be outdated.

May have been answered already, but will it be possible to create new weapon classes (an atl-atl, for example) and assign them in fortress mode, or will we still be unable to get dwarves to use them.

I still think that the whole fortress should be flooded with magma the moment you try dividing by zero.
This could be a handy way of teaching preschool children mathematics.

You know, I just realized and I don't know if anybody else has, in the next release it will be very easy to teach dwarves SWIMMING.

Just add a couple of points to swimming to someone at the start (or someone gets to dabbling) and they will teach other dwarves how to swim! Considering that they will teach throwing or even biting if they have that skill, I can see them doing the swimming stuff.

Dang. At least soldiers that do have swimming skill will teach it to other soldiers, I think.

@Duelmaster: A little too much info, lol.

As for a dwarven med school, there should be other ways of doing it.

Anyways, I wonder when Toady will do the Q&A thing, he has a hell of a backlog of questions by now. Not including the ones that got answered by the community.
