Yes but unlike the people who don't know what Castes are properly.

The people who yell at the people who don't know what castes are, are not justified in yelling. Just in being annoyed.

All of the new stuff will start getting documented in the wiki very soon after the release. We'll probably need an entire new category for modding and the raws since there are so many changes and so many new things, plus things got more complex

So the people explaining will just have to post a link to the wiki, eventually.

On the subject of castes...

Is there a realistic limit to the number of seperate castes a creature can have?

My immediate plans once the new version comes out calls for at least 12 separate castes on a single civvable creature.  Would that break the game something horrible?

I'm sure Footkerchief will have the exact link to you, but I believe Toady mentioned that castes are in theory limitless, but you can't have more than 10,000. The number might be off, but yeah.

More than 10,000 total in the game or for one particular entity? Making 100 castes for one creature or entity would be a hell of a job, let alone 1,000.

You misread. It's the nature of humanity.

Or if it's now how the hell are they justified but I'm not?

Since when is Nature justified?

Not knowing is excusable if annoying.

Harassing people for not knowing is inexcusable :D

There are requirements for "Not knowing" to be unjustified.

It isn't present.

Or I guess what I mean is. Stop harassing eachother!

Well, I think you know what I mean. Generating them automatically rather than manually.

Just because you say so?

People SHOULD know. I was annoyed because it wasn't justified and now I'm angry because you've driven me so close to a flame war without any justification except that you think ignorance is always in the right.

So I'm gonna take a little break. See you tomorrow maybe.

Edit Change: Hmmm, I think I should just drop it for now.

Alright So it is this the second or third day Toady has been very ill? (No Alterior Motives)

*Checking*

Third, goodness I hope he starts to feel better. It looks like it is going to be a long one.

Changing Topic:

Will you guys still have arenas/pits for prisons and animals if there is going to be arena mode for such fun things?

I don't really see why this would change. Making your own Gladiator Arena is still amazing even with a mode that does it for you.
