Well in many mythologies there are creatures who are otherwise genderless who still chose to associate themselves or whom resemble, artificially, specific genders.

At Fire woman for example, only her "Armor" is actually a tell of her womanhood. It is likely that it doesn't even have a gender.

Ha. Like they haven't done this with all their games :P Morrowind just didn't have the visual definition or art style to make -anything- sexually appealing whatsoever, so it was fairly downplayed compared to Daggerfall (which was fairly shameless about using it) or Oblivion.

Oddly in Daggerfall atronachs were portrayed more as golems—created creatures—so it would have made perfect sense to give them "interesting" physiques, at least if we assume most wizards are huge perverts (which seems reasonable). Yet it was only after they were merged with the daedra (demons) in later games that they grew tits.

Is there any indication of this bug: "001082 □ [dwarf mode][pets]   (Report) tamed feature creatures can become hostile even without having previously attacked dwarves" bieng fixed in the new release? I just got this one with my tamed GCS while I was trying to figure out how to make my silk farm work. I would have reported it, but we are so close to the new release that it wouldn't make a difference. Besides, the 'features' are bieng completely redone.

I'm sure there are some great things in the new version that we could tame which we would hate to have be hit by that bug.

I think my GCS may have gone hostile from killing goblins, which woke up the beast in it.

Most of me wants to tell you that isn't a bug.

GCS should randomly become violent, because it should be a terrible, terrible idea to try taming them.

"Hey, lets start farming this thing for its sweet funky produce."
"Sure, just ride it down the hallway into that big empty room."
"Come on spider! Come to papa!"

*GRARRRGLRRRRERRR*

"AAAAHHHH!!"

*GRAAAAAAAARRRR!*

Maybe, but the problem was that I couldn't even assign it to a cage or chain or even dump it. Which means that you really can't do anything about it, not even make your military kill it.

I've had it happen many times with feature resident creatures, even if they hadn't killed anything, so its really annoying. Especially when you have like 20+ tamed giant olms and half of them suddendly go hostile.

My guess is that it's been fixed by the underground rewrite, but hey, confirmation wouldn't hurt.

I suspect it's connected to the bug with targeting/attacking unconscious creatures, which seems to only appear with cave creatures:

Well, the features have been completely redone, even the magma pools and pipes have been redesigned. However, given that there is going to be even more stuff to tame down there, that bug is going to pop up alot more often if its there.

At least after this release, Toady will have more time to tackle bugs like this.

I'd say "Firehuman" is a better name than fireman.

Then we could also have "firedwarves" and "fireelves" and "firegoblins" :P
