I picture SoFs as flame atronachs from Oblivion:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Why, exactly, does a creature made of fire have mammaries?
She's so hot.

Just because they are made of a super hot material doesnt mean that they can't have a normalish anatomy.

Well there are two possible answers to that. The good answer is that their forms are created partially in response to the psyches of mortals.

The true answer is because Bethesda figured slapping tits on things would sell better than the lore-heavy approach they took with Morrowind.

Why, exactly, does a creature made of fire need to be shaped anything like a human at all? The presence of mammaries would be much easier to explain if we knew why it has legs.

Ha. Like they haven't done this with all their games :P Morrowind just didn't have the visual definition or art style to make -anything- sexually appealing whatsoever, so it was fairly downplayed compared to Daggerfall (which was fairly shameless about using it) or Oblivion.

And yeah. Evil is (apparently) Sexy.

Evil, male of female, is aways sexy, there are no exceptions, except the useless peons like orcs and goblins of course.

Anyway, I was rushing through channels and then I stumble upon HBO and see it was showing the first LoTR movie, right at the moria part. It felt almost like a trailer to the next version, with all those goblins comming from the deeps, and the balrog.

What does this say about the game developers?

Quote from: ToadyOne
I spent seven hours in front of a jigsaw puzzle over at my grandmother's house, but I managed to do some more work down below, adding some undead stuffs and other things/fixes. I tested catastrophic HFS activity with many unfortunate miners, though the first time the population changes caused the demons to run away like benign animals.

Seven hours of jigsaw puzzling does not bode well for the overly-optimistic who hold out hope for a Christmas release.

On the other hand, "catastrophic HFS activity" certainly sounds interesting.

(Really, seven hours? Must've been a hell of a jigsaw puzzle.)

Yea, must have been a really cool jigsaw puzzle, and get off the christmas release thing people, theres no way that its going to be finished in that time frame.

I wonder what population changes he made that would make the demons run away like sissies?

If you remove LIKES_FIGHTING and any tag like BUILDINGDESTROYER or LARGE_PREDATOR from them, they'll be passive.

I'd say monstrosity equals weakness deserves some credit in a game where most of the most powerful entities are basically Greek gods.

I've always imagined both Fire Men and SoF to look like the Dancing Flames from Dragon Quest.  The main difference being SoF in my mind are a lot bigger, hotter, and include a lot more psychotic evil laughter.

Evil is (apparently) Sexy.

Why would you ever link to TV Tropes? There goes an hour of my life that I'll never recover.

I spend very little time at TVtropes anymore when it's linked... I've read most of it already.
