Well there are animal men which are animals like men

Then there are animal men which are men like animals.

Which IS which? (though judging by what has been said the animal men in DF are animals like men)

Is there any way to make the entry box taller? I can't navigate through my post to fix things without losing my place over and over.

I usually just copy everything into Notepad when I'm writing a long post.  Also, Google Chrome lets you resize the input box itself.

PLEASE. I made a thread for that stuff, take this discussion there.

Yeah seriously, take it over there y'all.  Here's the link again: http://www.bay12games.com/forum/index.php?topic=46522.0

I use the following naming convention.
Well there are animal men which are animals like men
manimals. This includes talking bears and carp that grant wishes. Physically they retain most of their animal form but have human intelligence.

Quote
Then there are animal men which are men like animals.
animen. Mostly men physically and mentally but with a few animal features, most often the head and legs.

Well animen can have animal characteristics in terms of personality, but it is more flavor or influence.

Shoku, every single one of your posts are tl;dr
Thanks captain obvious.

Then why make them, sir?

I read 'em.

The very idea of "TL;DR" is highly offensive and a blight on human intelligence. If you don't want to read it, don't read it, and let that be the end of it; there's no need to insult the author and anyone who IS reading it by bragging about how short your attention span is.

Cute :)

But personally, I think this calls for a micro-expansion:
"Dwarf Fortress - Pony Stables Edition" - Raise your ponies with love and care!  Show them at pony shows!  Breed them for war by mating them with zombie carp, then whipping their foul spawn every day with an artifact kitten-leather whip that menaces with spikes of pitchblende, and feeding them elusively entrails of slaughtered elves!  Create easily-stackable brick-shaped nanoponies by forcing entire herds to live in a single glass terrarium for generations!

I'd take that over a "Glamour Beard Pro Fashion Designer" expansion, any day.

If you don't want to read it, don't read it, and let that be the end of it;

Still have to scroll past it though.

I'm sure it must have been bought up over last 1,5 year, but as we're so close to release... Can we count what next DF version number will be?

I think I was the only one to attempt a guess:

As a follow up to this, I went through the Core/Req/Bloat items to see which ones were likely to be marked as completed.

Based on this, my prediction for the next version number is DF v0.31.208.55a.  I included all of the ones I thought probable and 1/3 of the others, so it's complete BS, but hey.

I still find it amazing that the most complex game I have ever played is only version .28.

And that's not even a true estimate of its completeness! It just means 28 core development items have been completed. And there are plans that go beyond that.
