Man, that resting really tired me out.

Which animal are you referring to?

Well though I think I started typing before thinking

I've heard Pet Ferrets can hybernate and basically never wake up if you don't do somethinh. Which sounds quite tragic

You think you might have thought about an animal that may or may not possibly do something, if your recollections are correct, but you really didn't think about it?

And you posted?

You just turned this forum into Yahoo! Answers...move over Footkerchief...

Well the problem is that I am either thinking of

A) An animal that attempts to hibernate and dies for reasons
or
B) An animal that attempts to hibernate, never wakes up, and dies.

Hense why I shouldn't have posted in the first place

As for something on-topic, automated fish cleaning and fat rendering = hell yes. Why would you want to let the fish sit around unprepared, anyway?

There are a few reasons why but none of those have been added to the game, nor will they ever.

(Still off topic) I know that humming birds can have that problem; they go into a comparative hibernation every time they go to sleep, and if they haven't gotten enough sugar throughout the day, they might not have enough energy to start up themselves up again. However, that's more like starvation while sleeping.

Imagine a cool peice of sky-blue and milk-white marble about 3cm by 2cm and by 0.5cm, containing a tiny 2mm malacolite crystal. Now imagine the miles of metamorphic rock it's embedded in that no pick or chisel will ever touch. Then, imagine that those miles will melt back into their mantle long before any telescope even refracts an image of their planet. The watchers will be so excited to have that image too.

Toady typically doesn't do things by half measures.  As evidenced by turning "make hauling work better" into "implement mine carts with physics".
There are many issues with this statement.

There are just 10 items left.

I'm nervous. Will I be able to handle the new DF?

I am both dreading and filled with glee at the prospect of redoing all my homebrew mods.

Yay my dragonmen will have scales that I can custom make to not be significantly more defensive than flesh!  Yay dragonmen with D&D color coded for your convenience abilities between members!  Yay! Gender size and strength differences! Yay for (slim possibility of) egg laying fortress race!  Yay for monsters that can have hard shelled protective sections!  Yay for adventurer wandering into a cave and being able to find stuff to do there!  Yay for barracks not doing multi duty as a hospital and homeless shelter!   Yay for basic squads that don't follow their captain to bed!  Yay to being able to guard the walls year round without having to remember to cycle the guard! Yay for ...
