Bloodbeards revised mathematical release prediction

There are a total of 187 items on the development list. 172 are greened out (91.98%), 1 is blue (0.53%) and 14 are white (7.49%).

316 days have passed since the list of remaining items was created, that averages to a green-out every 1.84 days. The 1 blue item is the underground of which the great Toady has proclaimed will take a week to complete.

Taking the 14 white items and the 1 blue item, these calculations would tell us that they will all be green in 33.13 days, giving us a final release date of January 5th.

LOGIC HATH SPOKEN.

Hey, five days is five days.  I'm still blithely confident in December 31 myself.  Because I believe.

Morning of January 1st.  We'll all be too hungover to tell whether it's good or not.

I am rooting for the last week of january. Not because I want to wait more, but because it would make a nice birthday present.

Bloodbeard forgot to calculate that toady will probably take the holidays off.  January 12th seems the most probable.

I certainly hope he does!  That man works 7 days a week!

The general calculation includes all the holidays and days off he's had all year. The 1.84 days per greenout would be far lower if I only took into account the days he was actually working on the game, so it all balances out  :)

Dwarven bread should require two reagents: a plant, and a rock(preferably microcline).

Urist McDwarf has been ecstatic lately. He ate his own boots instead of dwarf bread recently. He has been tired of not eating the same old dwarf bread lately.

Imagine, a few barrels full of dwarf bread could keep a whole fortress going for years.

One thing about the kitchen workshop and the breads bothers me. They don't seem to require any water.

Maybe the kitchen should require a bucket that someone has to fill before the next item can be produced. Or this could be bypassed by building the kitchen over a square of permanent water.

The kitchen uses the leftover fluids from previous, current, and future materials ( cat biscuits, need cat blood ) .
Oh, and you don't need a bucket, use a barrel, or a bowl like they used to.

That's weeks after my birthday.

Foa: bowls are practically the same thing as buckets.
