We get immigrants with every labor skill except strand extraction, so yea we will certainly be seeing immigrant doctors.

How about dissecting captured goblins?

Their physiology can't be that different.  (And even if it is, the results could be fun to watch when these doctors try to fix up wounded dwarves)

Turns out hospitals will reek with the stench of festering wounds!  Man, just imagine what a tantrum spiral will look like now, with the last survivors crawling around dying of sepsis.

Omg, I like how he called todays update for a "simple placeholder" when it is like 10 times more advanced than ordinary wounds in games (if they even have some). Makes me wonder what we will get later... Go Toady! =)

well, that's Toady we're talking about here  :D

another room that will have to have airlocks in every entry point to them

If When things will be even more advanced --- talking about gunpowder and steam in modded games, possibly other Fun inducing stuff --- we will have airlocks nearly everywhere. Forts will be like Fallout shelters  ;D

Yeah, I can't wait until I can have some wrestlers eyelids torn off! =)

EDIT: Btw, Toady: Now when all bodyparts are arranged in tissue layers and that, will it be possible for the dwarves to... *shrug* ... have the beard cut off in battle?

Personally, I'll blend my starting mechanic and doctor together and hope for hidden fun stuff like replacement limbs... or eyelids.

Scamps is no longer quite so kitteny (he is what, 5 or 6 months old now?), but is still a cool cat :)

Anyways, looks like soap will be pretty important now.

However, since we need glass vials to even make soap, is soap going to be available on embark or as a trade item to be requested? I don't know if it is now actually.

Also, when will we be able to use metal vials or even wooden ones to make soap with or is there something special about glass vials?
