I am also interested for in-game monogamy, or do we considered all creatures monogamous by the spore cloud they reproduce by?

I think it's more that they pair their Bluetooth...devices, and then they're only tuned to each other while still being able to...communicate from any distance.

I'm not sure about the value of such a setting, since the dwarf might end up not using anything, which is dangerous.  You can set the priority settings for squads now, so that when an exceptional item is produced, it'll go to the squad that you want, going through the positions from top to bottom.  So if the dwarf in question commands your top priority squad, they'll get all the best stuff, provided it matches their uniform specs and you don't specifically assign the items to somebody else.  We'll have to see what other controls we need most when we've done more playing.

It makes me sad whenever the "cosmetic" features are disparaged as "useless".
My Dwarf Fortress experience is not enhanced by one of my fortress's population having blue eyes, or one of my migrants liking to consume turtle, or one of my farmers likes to style his beard in a certain way. I rarely look at these pages anyway (I only go there to check thoughts of unhappy dwarves, if anything) so more details on the character sheet are, to me, useless.
To me, it greatly enhances the game, so I find it quite worthwhile.
Really? Greatly enhances the game? More so than actual game features?
It is an actual game feature.

Will it be possible to dip dwarves in hot molten zinc to prevent rust?  ;D

Much more dwarfy than editing a text file.

I think it's quite safe to say that, if you dip a dwarf in hot molten zinc, he will never lose a skill point again.

Given DF players' predisposition towards building huge devices whose sole purpose is to destroy everything for no other reason than that they feel that they should... I'm wondering if we should be measured in Kilonazis. :P

The next version is going to be awesome!  I bet metal will rust in the rain too.  I havn't read through everything.  But I bet it will!  RUST RUST RUST!  Steel will be safer!
