The raw preview for dwarves seems to lack a DAMBLOCK tag. This makes sense, what with the new combat system, but will there be anything with a similar function?

regardless, the slime shooter will be completed, come hell or high water, which are both entirely plausible setbacks at this point.

Attached to trousers...

That would hurt.

Imagine a combination of power goals 44 and 45: The ruler convenes a council of the nobles to appoint you the high priest of the nearby towns. Instead of waiting for them to finish their drinking session, you walk in and crush a goblet while berating their disgusting behaviour and general incompetence.

well... unless you tried to take them off, or if a wrestler tried to pants you.

There are many issues with this statement.

Random question from me.   Behold the power of green.

Any new easter eggs around?  Like the scrolling too far left or right in 2D?  Or the Hit '?' too many times easter egg?   Just...ya know....so I know to start looking.

And related, did we find all of them so far in the current version?

For some reason I can't get the idea out of my head of a custom creature made with microcline skin saying "You have struck microcline!" Every time you attack it.

Go load up some v.26.  Additionally, 2d gameplay was a trip wasn't it?  The things that made 2d fun got rather nerfed after the z-axis, am very psyched many of the 2d conventions are coming back.

I miss the precarious, terrifying water. And having lizardmen climb out of my well.

Can't, lack computer that would run it. Put it in a spoiler or PM or something instead of "go try".

I agree with Urist. Steampunk is like Darth Vader winning Holland's Next Top Model. It would be awesome but not something I'd like in this game.
Unfortunately dying involves the amputation of the entire body from the dwarf.

woot @ finally being able to create infinite sand and infinite booze reactions. great work will be done now with custom workshops that turn stone into sand and give masonry or mining skill.

as for the "special messages" there's no need to spoiler it since it's so old:
if you looked too far to the left, away from the mountain face you'd get remarks about how far it was to go until you reached "home"
if you looked too far to the right, inwards to the mountain, you'd get remarks about how far it is to the center of the earth

edit - both of these took like a good 1-3 minutes of scrolling, and i think there were alternate messages based on how far you went. and of course, the moment you hit the opposite direction, your view would be 'teleported' to the border again.
