Toady, any though of adding z-levels to rooms? What I mean is... right now, if we go through the trouble of making a dining hall 3 z-levels high, and engraving each floor, it doesn't add anything to the value. The expansive space and extra engravings don't help.

Also, it's awfully easy to get a Legendary room, once you have a Legendary engraver. Any thought on making that more difficult? Or moddable?


Are we finally going to be able to make beds out of other materials?

I'd imagine a multi z-level dining room should get a boost just by virtue of being multi z-level, really.

Actually, more generally, how plausible is it to make all designation-type features work over z-levels?  Imagine designating a long staircase in one go.

Multilevel Rooms would be nice - especally if we would get multi-tile and -level engravings for decoration.

Before we get to that, though, we'd have to have some way of putting a bed, bridge, and pressure plate on the same tile.

Or rig up the entrance of your dining hall with pressure plates, so that everytime someone enters, it drops a single spot of water down the shaft. Have the bed on level 10 and a channel next to it so the 10 levels under the bed are accesible. After 91 crossings, his bed will flood.

The floor space and items on the floor of a room should be weighted more heavily then vertical space with a diminishing value the higher up you go, something like half value for each inaccessible empty space tile above accessible floor space, a quarter for the second tile above that and 1/8th value for all other tiles, Engravings on those surfaces might retain a high value though because their easy to see and protected from damage & dirt.

That adventure game was really fun! Even though it was short, that last puzzle was kind of neat. If the game were longer and the hints more drawn out it would have been harder, but a fun way to put up a spoiler nonetheless . How can you not read a spoiler when it comes in adventure-game form?

Arrrggh!  Which would be more awesome:  Uncovering the spoiler in game, or reading the adventure-game reveal?
I haven't uncovered HFS in game yet either.   :(
