We can only presume he has [POWER] in him somewhere.

I wonder if we can test him for tags ... i guess [NOBLEED] and [NOPAIN] would be easy, similary for [NOBREATHE] and similar obvious tests, but how would we test him for [MAXAGE] or [PET_EXOTIC]?
Its very dangerous as we don't have a [NO_BAN] tag...
don't forget that he doesn't possess the [CAN_MOD] tag

He he he.  Yeah, it almost looks done...  alas...  those who are in your teens, hold on until your twenties...  those in your twenties, your thirties...  others, cling to life as you are able...
It should be pretty fun though.

I'm sure his [MODVALUE] is way over 9000 though.

Modvalue is easy to test, we just need to butcher him and see how much a totem made from his skull is worth.

The problem with all of these tests is that Dwarven SCIENCE! requires many test subjects, and we only have one.

Yeah, but reclaiming the forum could lead to ten times as many people.

That's the great thing about this forum. We can derail any discussion into any other topic.
It's not an embark so much as seven dwarves having a simultaneous strange mood and going off to build an artifact fortress that menaces with spikes of awesome and hanging rings of death.

What about setting up Footkerchief farm if modvalue is really 9000? Dunno how to get breeding pair, but forcing him to mate with many, many females should have at least some results.

We'd need to wait for the Genetics update.

When I left, last night, you all were talking about Vagina Dentata, and yet, you somehow managed to lower the tone of the conversation from that point.

The real problem is the magma on reclaim.

Magma? The problem? Heresy!

He's referring to the bug where magma buildings aren't buildable on reclaim because the game thinks the magma is undiscovered, even when the path has already been opened.

Which gives me a thought:

Has the bug where magma buildings are unbuildable on reclaim been fixed in the new release? I'm sure you and Zach and the other testers have done a few reclaims by now.

The reclaim part I'd love to see "fixed" (beyond magma, of course) is the fact that your party is some sort of family picnic. Everyone is bestest friends with everyone else, which means you're one casualty from yet another tantrum spiral.

That's actually one of my favorite parts about reclaiming. Especially if it's a very dangerous reclaim (like if you let the HFS loose before abandoning). Then it becomes a challenge to see how many dwarves survive the initial reclamation and inevitable tantrum spirals. On one fortress I had to reclaim 4 consecutive times and ended up with 3 dwarves after the 4th try.
