I have an idea for the next game: droppable weapons and encumbrance. When an opponent dies, they drop their weapon, which anyone can then pick up. Also, knives would work great with this. They could be a 1d2+1 to attack weapon for use if you need to drop your normal weapon and sprint for it.

We could have all players have a base movement speed of 6 squares per turn, with each weapon they carry applying a penalty:
Spear  -  3 encumbrance points
Axe, Mace, Hammer, Crossbow  -  2 encumbrance points
Sword  -  1 encumbrance point
Knife  -  0 encumbrance points

That could also open up the game to other carry-able objects, besides weapons and artifacts. Stuff like armor and cool little gadgets that can do certain things with terrain.

We could also add in a pick. Something like 1d5, but with a chance to break a wall. Attempting to take down the wall would count as an attack action, with some chance of succeeding:
1   Roll again. If the next roll is a 1, the pick breaks.
2   Nothing.
3   Nothing.
4   +1 to the next roll with a pick against this particular wall section.
5   +1 to the next roll with a pick against this particular wall section.
6   Destroy wall.

That would need different level designs, though. The pick would obviously have 2 encumbrance points.

My solution is implementable now.

No slow down for Spears when they grab the grate, and double slow down for Swords.

Oooh just came up with another idea, how about next game players holding one handed weapons can also choose to take a shield. The shield will enforce a movement penalty but also give a defensive bonus. And what about I put fortifications in the map, so that way crossbow dwarves get a bit more of an advantage. As for switching weapons each death, it's a good idea but it could get a little confusing for me as I will likely forget who holds what and more errors might be made.

Anyway just counted the moves and it seems we are all done.
Also another ask... Please post your moves in a bold or in a color so that I can see the moves made each turn.

-Combat-
Sir Knighticus III (webadict) attacks Panda (Pandarsenic) with sword, rolls 2, +2 bonus, total= 4.
Panda defends with hammer, rolls 6, -0 bonus, total+ 6.
4<6
Sir Knighticus III attacks at Panda from the side, Panda is however ready for this, anticipates his attack and then blocks at the opportune moment. This knocks Sir Knighticus III off balance. Panda attacks in a vicious heavy full strength two handed swing, knocking Sir Knighticus III of his feet and flying through the air. Sir Knighticus III slams to a halt at the far end of the hall, his body is limp.

-Turn eight is now over-

I second both solutions, by the way.

Ignore this space where my turn was.

More rambling suggestions for the next game:

Also forgot to add that no major rule changes are going to take place until after the game is over.

Fast turn!
You got my name wrong though. In the Middle Alliance, there is no 'S'. The S is important, for my wordplay.

EEN Face North. Gah. This might be risky. Also frelock, I'm not oing to be able to indterdict the horde rushing in before they can get to. Act accordingly, especially with fishhook (5 movement).

We're still using old rules, right?

Yes perfect, seeing as it isn't really a major rule change. This will come into play immediately.

I decided I should give Wimdit and ID backup.

Right, Strife.  For the Middle way!

Speaking of alliances, would the Arctic Alliance perhaps consider an agreement with the Middle Alliance?  Of course, Strife would have to agree, but it would be a good alliance all around.  We're all the underdogs, after all.

North, East, East, East
Here comes Lucky Fenneth, coming down the line drive.  He's up by a head, but the pursuers are coming up the outside...

Shoot, I just realized I edited.  I'm not allowed to do that...

I didn't put my moves in my post at first, so I added them.  This was before Imp posted.  Well, it doesn't matter too much at this point, but it's the principle of the thing.  My apologies.

I forget about watching the edits, so I will only really notice if someone points it out to me.
