Trifes will take three steps north and face south. Really, he'll be walking backwards the whole way.

Crossbows can't shoot through walls, right?

West, South, South, South.

Hey, guy with a monocle. Good thing I moved first, because you'd be in my way if you moved first.

We southerners have to cooperate like that.

For the war-hammer, since I am facing him, there is a -1 to my roll. If he rolls a 6, I am dead no matter what. 1/6 chance of instadeath. The others I get a chance to roll against.
He is actually wielding a mace which has an eight sided die
so if he rolls a 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 then Duke instantly wins.
If you roll a 1 Duke also instantly wins
You are wielding a crossbow which is three sided.
The only way for you to win is if you roll a 3 and he rolls a 1
It is a tie(re-roll) if you roll a 3 and he rolls a 2 or if you roll a 2 and he rolls a one.
Chance of Cheetar winning melee =  4.2%
Chance of draw and re-roll = 8.4%
Chance of Duke winning melee = 87.4%

What happens on a tie?
I just roll again. Yeah, the defender probably should win on a tie, but I wanted to encourage players attacking rather than defending so I made attacking have a slight advantage.

 Oh... wow.

I was expecting this behavior from the Confederate Dogs, but from my own team? I'm across the hall from you, where do you get the idea I'm not to be trusted? There is only one real clear response to this.

I know what you're thinking. "Does he have a 1/2 chance of no damage, or only 1/3?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a mace, the most powerful one-handed weapon in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?

I'm on your team? Sorry, I was acting to shoot you based on the fact that I believed you were charging southwards to kill all on the southern side. And now, it seems I'm about to die. Sorry, honestly.

Edit: I thought in a melee we all rolled with the highest die, but I guess that does make some things underpowered.

East, north, east, east, face south.

To tell the truth, I'm playing more for the experience of this than anything else. We should all participate in a brainstorming topic afterwords to discuss the game's rules.

This is what made me move where I did. I've got your back, Duke.

Thus far, I'm somewhat neutral, as I'm likely to be the first one to get the artifact, and therefore the first one to be attacked en mass.  I suppose if I had to choose a side... no, I can't decide at the moment.  Whoever gets me, however, gets the guy with the artifact to run to their side in a desperate attempt to escape.

Convince me you won't attack for at least a little while when I retreat to your side.

Once someone gets the artifact, all this alliance stuff will disappear, right?

Depends. They'll most likely be considered hostile to everyone, but alliances will still function among those without the artifact.

I shall move East. All the way.

As much as I wish to slaughter these Southern Dogs, that belongs in the final room as it needs a new coating of red paint.

Speaking of this, you should put a couple blood spatters on the map wherever there's been a fight or when someone's been killed.

Shall we team up Frelock? I don't care all that much about winning. A win for the team, is a win for both of us.

Well, you're the only person to flat-out ask me to join them, so I'll agree to joining up with you.  We shall be the... well... any ideas?
