Treasure sounds a lot like Treachery - Over, Everybody wins!
« on: January 20, 2009, 04:10:32 am »

A dice based PvP forum game made by me. Please note, this is my first run through with the game so the rules may be a little confusing.

One last and possible the most important rule to stop cheaters, is that there shall be
NO EDITING OF YOUR ACTION POSTS!

If a player does edit his/her post after seeing what others are doing it gives that player an advantage. If I see the little « Last Edit: Today at 21:00:00 by Urist McDwarf » message on your post then I will pretend like you didn't move or attack at all and are still facing the same direction. You will also suffer a further -6 penalty to all of your combat rolls for that turn.

To sign up, post your name in red, your weapon in blue and character symbol (from this page) in the color you want for your character. It is not a time consuming game and not all that complicated once you understand the rules so feel free to sign up if you have never played a forum game before.

Map:

Please feel free to suggest any rule changes you feel are needed or any balancing out that is required.

Example of playing:

Enter... Ace mcSpade, Dazzling Dwarf Extraordinaire, putting the "war" back in Dwarf, wielding a long, long Spear.
He shall be reconised by his symbol: ♠ (in black, of course, it impresses "da laydeez", if you know what I mean, uhuh, uhuh yeah get it on look at my long black spear yo)

This was all in-character, thank you, thank you, I'll be here all week.

Whether you like it or not ;)

If possible, could I have some sort of whip weapon?

I really want to do an Indiana Urist adventurer here. But if I can't it is time for the fortress of La-Mulana!

Manezza, the archeologist who wields the mighty mace! He is a green U for some odd reason...

I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.

One problem I've noticed: What if a person attacks a person who hasn't yet moved (Loss is assumed)? They obviously can't move back to their starting point, so what happens?

Also, what happens in ties? I think ties should go to the defender.

I see what you mean, to stop this from happening I will make it that players who are killed before they make their actions will still be sent back to the starting point but be no longer be able to move for the remainder of that turn. If this is not what you meant then please explain.

I think he's thinking of starting point as the characters position during that round, not the point the characters spawn at.

Like, the very start? Because that's just a long ways. Maybe they should be allowed to defend if they are attacked at a bonus, and failing that, are moved one tile in a direction and stunned for the remainder of the turn.

Can I be Inalucthotep, a valiant g? The boldness and yellowness are both important, because Inalucthotep is both bold and yellow at the same time. He is a very complicated character. You can cut out the boldness if it becomes a formatting issue.

He uses a HAMMER, because he is testing this universe to see if his people-

Okay, whatever. Inalucthotep, g, HAMMER.

Edited for clarity.
