Economic Sustainability

To make every plant, tree, animal, fish and more able to grow. Effectively making your fortress playing area economically sustainable. I believe I saw a tree growing in the current DF version so that part may already be implemented. I'm not sure if hunting animals or fish however is currently economically sustainable?

outdoor areas with trees will generate saplings which grow into trees after a few years.

fish in the new version seem to spawn whenever there's a suitable environment. I had a tropical fort where all the surface ponds dried up in the first summer, but after refilling one of them from the cave river a few years later, the fisherdwarves were able to catch turtles in it.

animals are supposed to respawn but some people have reported that they're not getting any more after several years of hunting.
