Statue usage
« on: January 19, 2009, 02:03:45 pm »

So I was thinking: How could I make my standard 3x3 room worth more? The answer, mass produced green glass statues! now my new issue is fitting the statues into the rooms. So, I was wondering: Is it possible to use statues as a wall between rooms and has anyone else done this before?

Edit: Since I don't know how to delete topics and as a hint for other players... It works. replace walls with statues to make rooms worth more.

Hmm, that's true actually, heavily decorated statues would be worth more than a detailed wall..
Hadn't thought of that :O
Unfourtantly, I think I'll be skipping it, as you would need an elfload of statues >.<

Except that they're effectively made out of thin air. All you need is magma and a bag.

Ahhg you fool! have you realized what you have done!? Now your minions will spam "Has seen a amazing statue lately" over and over again. Not only that, but everyone will see everyone sleeping through their walls, become naked due to lack of modesty, and be carted off to the crazy train by FBI officials and then turn into robot zombie space monkeys!!

Urist Mcdwarf has admired a Masterful Green Glass Statue with Turtle Shell and Bone and Green Glass spikes.

Urist Mcdwarf is happy.

Urist Mcdwarf has had all of his masterwork stuff destroyed as well as his artifact.

Urist Mcdwarf is still happy.

No more crime.

Edit: I've actually lined an entrance hall with with the aforementioned statues and had dwarves stay ecstatic after their artifact wooden earrings were tossed into magma.

Moldath, Cheesemaker, cancels breed: admiring statue.

Your civilization has crumbled to its end.

Back on topic...
Windows also work well, despite being a little lower in value.
I like the way they look compared to statues.

Tantruming dwarves would suck, and I don't think they count as walls regarding doors.
