Hey, I'm new to the forums and DF modding, so I was wondering if there was any way to create bombs à la Zelda (arm it, throw or drop it, run like hell, watch it explode in a few seconds)? I assume mines would be easier in the line of explosives?

Alas, explosions are not in DF yet. Oh, you will hear of booze bombs and such, but it is just clouds of superhot gasses expanding from an enclosed source in every direction.

Wait...

Now note these clouds have no effect on the dwarves, who will only die to the fire causing the 'explosion' in the first place.

The other half of these explosions are going into the RAW's and setting the creatures and materials to boil away at room temperature. Or at several-thousand degrees below absolute zero to flash freeze things into another dimension.

In order for these effects to take place, you must restart DF.

Yup, perhaps in the next version with pressurized guts made of magma this might be possible.
