In the interests of talking finance further, House Mikhailovsky-Ivanov's finances for last month:

Code: [Select]
Facilities Dismantled               1833.80
Leisure Facilities Income             24555.18
Passenger Route Income   232569.70
Total Income :                           258958.68

Costs
Donations to the Faith               5000.00
Opinion Polls                                 573.19
Facility Building                     33669.19
Miscellaneous                             18477.14
Facility Maintenance           124697.67
Military Upkeep                       3558.13
Technology Research               1970.00
Education                               2000.00
Taxes                                     38258.99
Covert Operations                       3261.20
Infrastructure                             13481.15
Internal Security                             0.00
Passenger Route Creation       3812.12
Total Costs :                           248758.78

For a profit of roughly 10,000. Transportation is a very viable choice in a galaxy where the tech level is 26.75; even as behind as I am (having not yet secured tech concessions from anyone), there aren't actually any worlds I can't reach.

Mostly shutting down unprofitable routes, closed down some nonproductive facilities. I went through and looked at each planet to redo my trade routes. I also shut down some of my mysticism facilities until I can better support the cost of keeping them active, and will concentrate on only two planets right now.

Well construction wasn't a very reliable money-maker and military will only pay out if there is a war on or lots of houses are paying for military education. Instead I turned to mercantile, which is going well. See below for numbers and pretty charts.

Fun times in Capricorn. House Noah has gone renegade, and is attacking several of the big houses. However, he's out of facilities, so all signs point to him being funded by several other, unknown houses.

We'll see who profits after this.

EDIT: I'm guessing DAIMYO is funding Noah. Just a guess though.

I'm hoping this conflict escalates. A full scale war will open a great deal of opportunities for minnows like me.

also: DAIMYO is likely one of Noah's backers, but I'm sure there are more.

Basically, here's the overview of Capricorn:

- It is assumed that Daimyo is paying Noah to attack all houses with 100+ status, except Von E, because Von E's well... Von E and doesn't meddle much. Unless to throw suicide legions at the indom's at Von E's HQ.

- The four other houses other than the Big 2, have gone to slaughter Noah and is wiping out Noah's financial facilities planet by planet.

It's assumed that Daimyo's behind this whole affair- at least in my opinion, but seeing Daimyo has 600 vet legions as well as indoms everywhere, nobody's going to actually attack xD

If we're talking about Capricorn...

Last Time On The Imperium Nova Space Opera Channel Series

The Emperor of Capricorn has been accused of violating Imperium laws after destroying a Tech House. The Emperor has said that since the Tech House has attacked the Emperor and destroyed one of his facilities, the Emperor has the right to destroy the House.

Opponents argue that the Emperor has gone above and beyond proportiante response, and that the proper thing to do is to destroy a second facility. It is likely the matter will be sent to trial. Servant will be the prosecuter, leading the allegation that the Emperor has violated the "Unwritten Law" by ignoring Feud Score and causing needless chaos. Arguments on the defense argue that the Emperor may have already been punished by being declared a "RENEGADE", and the fact that he was pardoned, by the Emperor, was perfectly legal.

...No trial ever did occur, but I was wondering if the Emperor is still allowed to violate the Imperial Charter without also violating the "Unwritten Law" of Feud Score. My argument is that the Emperor, by failing to follow the Imperial Charter, has indeed failed in his duty to enforce the Imperial Charter. He is thus  incompetent, and that a new regent must to be appointed to office while the current Emperor is incompetent.

I suggest that any minor houses in capricorn start aiding the larger houses that got hit hard. It is a good chance to earn goodwill and favors.
