This game suffers from a severe lack of information tools.

How so?

You cannot open a menu in another tab/window without logging in again. You cannot display more than one planet's information at the same time without such roundabout methods as to make it too annoying to deal with. Nowhere can I get a simple list of planets in range, I have to zoom out and manually move the map around and write them down. There is not a simple list that I've found of planets, populations, etc. The interface could just be made so much better and more user friendly. Easier ways to mine the data for what you need.

Even a simple API which let you pull something simple like trade prices for a list of planets would be helpful.

Well, to my knowledge there are suppose to be better tools if you donate. From what I've gathered from the Wiki, some of that information does become easier to manage.

However I agree with you, that the game being completely unfriendly toward the back button or tab, is very annoying. From what I've gathered in the IRC room, IN is just not design with tab browsing in mind at all.

As a subscriber you can compare up to 4 planet's trade prices at a time, and you get some fairly basic economic management tools in some spheres. It seems very much half-done really. I could close all transport routes which don't have more than x profit, but I can't do that to mining complexes or any other facilities I have, for example.

By the way, what galaxy are you in? I may have missed it. I'm in Gemini as house Kairon

Just make sure you stick to planets in imperial jurisdiction unless you know you can make a profit without the subsidy.

I'll be sticking to Imperial planets like glue.

EDIT: My dynasty is rather unassuming. However, the leader of my house is an apathetic, irritating halfwit prone to alcoholism. I kept this family for him alone.

Actually, yes I am. My eldest daughter needs a husband. She's: (An idle, ordinary individual of great artistic ability. She is an average duellist and administrator)

Be careful, if you marry her off to a patriarchy and you aren't a matriarchy yourself she will join the other house.
