massive metalsmithing experience
« on: January 18, 2009, 01:50:45 pm »

In my current game, I have a legendary weaponsmith, and a legendary armorsmith, despite having forged fewer than 30 weapons, and 30 armor pieces.  Is this a known bug, where experience is applied or calculated incorrectlyl?

Just to be sure, they haven't made artifacts, have they?

Actually, I remember my armorer making an artifact.  Weaponsmith I'm not sure about, but it is possible.

I didn't realize that could affect experience that much.  That explains it, I guess.

If you use "v" to view a dwarf, you can find out if he or she has created an artifact. Dwarves who have made artifacts will say "Creator of [artifact name]" under their name and job title in the v screen.

keep track of artifacts, they are extremely strong, even when made with non-standard materials.

if made with adamantium they are fantastically powerful.

steel and iron artifacts are very strong.
