Did I break something? (mild HFS spoilers)

I'm running DF 40d.  Have made various modifications to the minerals, but nothing that would logically explain an Adamantine cluster.  Have any of you seen this?

Yes, I'd say you did, unless you're pulling our chains and using Dtil's Vein Helper.

On the topic of HFS, I finally played with one.  When I found and breached it, FPS dropped down to 0-1.  Is that normal?

I certainly didn't do this intentionally.

I'm off to the modding sub-forum to see if anyone else has broken the game the same way or knows anything about what might have caused this.
