*spring year 2, fort A*
-
New fort, New Home, new LIIIFe. Ok maybe not, but bob is in charge here too!
-
What a mess! Planter is DEAD no more planting, dead dead dead. Miner is hurt, broken hand. Suck it up miner, not that bad....
-
Getting hungry, tiny little food stocklpile isn't going to cut it. REVAMP! Move out of stairs. WE need to dig, Leadery mechanic guy, start shoveling dirt. Will make farmy type places two stairs down.
-
Also, axe man, you train all those doggies, and put some in a cage allready, puppies everywhere. Kennel outside, you build that too.
-
Craftshops making short swords. Why? Bob no know. Tell them to stops.
-
Bob will also be happy to know what lever does. It calls to bob... but worried, bridges over lava only way out. What if it makes them go away. Bob resists! Will be strong.
-
No stockpiles, except tiny tiny little food thing in stairs. Bob confused. Fort won't last long like this. Bob will fix, and make better.
-
AAAAAH. Stupid water level. Bob trying to make well, to give water to hurt miner person. Expanding around lava to see how much room we can make for farms, no one told me there was an aqifier above the thing. Build some walls quick, or going to be stuck underwater.
And just in time for elves, NO TRADING, not yet. We will sneakily swipe their stuff for our use, if we can keep from drowning.
-
Got the walls up, but Bob sad, Mason was stuupid, walled himself in, and drowneded before we could tear one down to let him out. Bob will be more carefull next time.
Luckily elves don't have much to trade. Silly Elves. Bob will trade some rock mechanisms and swords, for everything they have that's really worth anything. Mostly drinks, and some seeds for outside planting. Bob plans to make little greenhouses for these!
-
... Elves upset. Swords last leader made have WOOD hilts. Bob still took stuffs, but not happy NOT HAPPY. Stupid swords. If elves going to be upset, going to take ALL their stuff. Blame last leader not Bob. Bob fixing mess.
-
New stockpile by crafting shops. To hold crap. Make some bins and barrels for storage. Need more barrels, blood gnats chewing on tasty dog meat.
Cage in dining hall, for da puppies. EVERWHAR. Bob will clean up fortress if it kills him.
-
Migrants! Good. Bob almost had to start hauling stuff himselfs. Will need to set up a barracks though, for sleeping. Ha! 25 of them. This should help things alot!. Setting most to fish or farm, need food badly.
-
Ok, wall being expanded to go around lake for fishing. Also butcher shop and tanner shop set up so hunter can do work, and peasants told some to farm, others learn wall building.
*summer*
-
Hoomans are here. Hope they are nicer than the elves. Also hope like random elf clothing, and crappy wooden crafts(also from elfs).
-
Humans traded better, but still not as good. They don't want the elf stuffs. Something about it being bad for trading. I think they'd do better trading where they could.
-
Working on greenhouses when hear Olin has been acting strangely. One of the two child dwarfs who came with the migrants. The little guy crawled into the craftsdwarf workshop dragging a wood log, and started working on something in secret.
Aww how cuute. He made a stick. With a picture of itself on the side. Kids these days.
-
Greenhouse is done, go gather plants. EVERYONE! No exceptions. Oh and engrave dining room, Naow.
*Autumn*
-
MOAR migrants. Hope they are bringing sleeping bags to sleep in. Also, snails in the way, might be danerouse.
Nine migrants, given planting and gathering work. Except for miner, he can actually do real WORK.
-
Hmm, digging out more rooms, lots of dwarfs sleeping on ground. Smaller rooms along hallway, some really tiny. Variatee, spice of life. And oo, we can grow silverbarbs. Neato.
-
Dwarfs are here to trade! Sneaking up on me. Bringing some stuff to trade depot. Cloth, Leather, other useless junk for now.
Bah, dwarfs don't want ugly elf good either. Bob dosen't blame them, Bob blames stupid silly elves. Made trash dump for elf crap not useable. Also traded for a bunch of stuff.
-
Human is STILL HERE. What cho want human? Oh, bring uhh, bolts. Yeah ammo for shooting, the rest bring whatever.
Told the Dwarf guy to bring some seeds and armors.
-
INDOOR FISHING. You know it. Bob is da domb.
-
Farmer died today, out gathering berries, tried to wrestle the mud. Bob thought this was odd, but have seen moving mud before, farmer killed it, but then suffocated under covering of mud. Very sad. Will make coffin for burying.
-
Migrants! This place sure is getting crowded.
Ahh, possesseded stonecrafter. ONE OF THE MIGRANTS. He no even make it to the fortress before crashing in to attack workshop making. Hmm, maybe a stone stick this time!
Six migrants total, another miner, Starting up crossbow shooty military, with archery targets to shoot at.
-
Stonecrafter picked three boulders of alunite to build with. He made a spiky rock amulet. Kinda just looks like alot of rock stuck together to me. But what does Bob know. At least stonecrafter no longer possessed, can get back to work.
-
MOAR dead sleeping places. Just put them up outside dining room, no time to build big special tomb just yet. Maybe later. Put farmer in red one. It pretty, and he did good by killing grimeling.
-
Giant food stockpiles almost done, need lots more barrels, ordered plenty. Nobody going to starve from tiny little food pile on by stairs.
Also walled off areas around magma bridge, with fortifications. So we can shoot out at any peoples trying to sneak in.
*winter*
-
Winter time now. Wall around entrance stairs done too, in the middle of drink stockpile. Ain't it grand.
-
PLATINUM. KITCHEN. Yes. yesh. We will make our food better with shiny metal surfaces.
-
Baby Girl dwarf! Born to Lye Maker(who's really a farmer, just dosen't know it yet.) and a peasant. Named her Maureen, because Bob said so.
-
Herbalist is possessed! Oh noes. Mason workshop taken over! Can you even make sticks out of herbs? Glad I don't know anyone named Herb, that would be scary. Guess rocks are better than herbs.
**
ooc:
Oh noes, Spring has Sprung. Guess we will have to wait and see what the herbalist makes.
And I must say, taking over this fort was quite difficult, Haven's playstyle is very different than mine, and it took me a while to get things working. In all of Bob's crazyness from the first round, even without stone, that fortress was very well off for moving into the 2nd round. Anyway, here's some more screenshots of the area:
The Magma Bridge, along with the original planter's tomb, and the new underground farms.
The workshop area of the stockpile floor. Along with the well on the right, and the indoor fishing area.
The outside area with the kennels, butchery area, refuse and wood stockpile, and some archery targets in the lower right side of the wall. You can also see the roofs of the greenhouses to the right. Small for now, but that's the only thing on that floor, so plenty of room to expand(like you will need it
)
And finally the bedrooms and barracks floors. Haven's grand bedroom design was nice, but will be a problem if the population keeps growing like it did this season.
