Dwarfules - the 12 challenges
« on: January 13, 2009, 08:47:15 pm »

an interesting game i thought up. you the people dwarves of bay12 will give me 12 challenges to complete in adventure mode.
RULES:
make sure i can do a challenge in a reasonable period of time.
make it entertaing/wierd/pointless
the first 12 challenges posted are the ones i do.
you can take the challenges too if you wish.
if i die during a challenge then i will NOT save-scum my dwarf back.
i decide what my stats are and i will have at least 1 point in swimming

now think up a challenge for the dwarf equivalent of hercules!

Go to one of the mountainhomes and slay every dwarf in residence.

Swim to an island and kill something.  Then take its head back to the main land and kill something while holding the head.

Have four or more diffrent types of weapons stuck in your body at once. (four arrows wouldn't count, but an arrow, sword, dagger, and spear would)

Have more then 10 Elf chunks in your mouth at once.

Kill/injure more then 3 creatures at once with another creature you have sent flying

Just doing one is fine
Screenshots or it didnt happen!

"Yeah. My plan was to drop some kittens into the siege, and have my dwarves freefall into battle, landing on top of the kittens. The plan was kinda dumb though because the kittens were standing on grates, and the goblins killed them with arrows just as I was releasing the freefalling dwarves. So the dwarves weren't able to land on kittens and just fell and died."

a lot of these suggestions would take a long time and or would get me killed quickly.

well that would be deadly for most dwarves. touching flowers... the very thought sends shivers down my spine.
just try to be a little more reasonable with time periods ok?
i still want to know where i would find demons in an adventure mode game.

Twenty Goblin Winter
collect 20 goblin heads.
Specifically heads. Must not still be attached to bodies.

possibility #2 - actually walk from one goblin fortress to another through the tunnels.
(sure, it SOUNDS simple...)

As a general rule, you won't.  Pretty much the only way is to build a fortress specifically to let out the demons.  A good substitute would be to kill 10 [POWER] creatures.  There are lots of them in Legendary lands, and you would only need to clear out 10 capitols.

There are the "wuss-demons" that rule the goblin civs.

Find a temple with magma in the bottom.

Save a tower from chasm creature invasions.

Knock an enemy over a waterfall. This enemy may not be an aquatic foe. It does not matter if they were in the water when hit, only in the water after falling and within sight of a waterfall.

Spell a well-known DF word with various objects.

Make a dwarf face with corpses or blood splatters, depending on if blood splattering is possible with objects.

Fill ten backpacks with water. Also, solve the question "If you can fill a container with water from an adjacent tile, can you fill a flask or backpack with magma from a nearby nile?

 Throw said magma?
