Still Simo. "The White Death" beats the crazy bastard who decided that everyone wants to have sex with their mother and who probably did want to have sex with his mother.

At first I was ashamed that I didn't know who this Freud guy is, but now I don't want to know.

Simo FTW.

Frued doesn't even kinda qualify as awesome. At all. We're talking the word 'complify' beating him hands down.

I vote Simo. And complify.

I still vote for Simo. I admire Freud, but he's fairly low on my list of Scientists I Would Like to Have Breakfast With.

I'm having a little trouble thinking of many really great scientists that I *would* like to have breakfast with. Philosophers, sure, some of them, but famous scientists? Not the most socially adept group, really.

And even if they are, if they're a whole lot smarter than I am, I don't think I'd want to deal with that and a bagel, at 9 in the morning.

The only one I can think of is Carl Sagan. He seems like he'd be a cool guy.

If I could have breakfast with any scientist, I'd go out on a limb and consider Osama Bin Lauden a 'scientist.' I'd also bring a shotgun.

I'd have breakfast with Charles Darwin, but I'd wear a cape and lots of future-y stuff. And I'd bring a fog machine and a book about the history of evolution. And a hidden microphone to amplify my voice. I'd claim to be something ominous sounding and yell in a booming voice about the history of evolution and how he had Chagas disease.

Except he might have a heart attack right there, because Chagas disease causes heart damage. And then I'd have killed Charles Darwin.

Simo again for me.

Did we reach a consensus on whether to discontinue allowing fictional people?

I think it's better with historical people, personally.

Although I'm also in favor of the semi-historical, if someone makes a good case for them, like Promethius.

I don't really think we need a rule. We've sort of reached the point where any fictional character wouldn't really stand much of a chance unless they had some serious mythic weight, like Prometheus. I'm fine with such a rule, though, but I think it should still allow for entities like Prometheus.

If we don't need one, we won't add one.
