Ok, so I've read about halfway though, expecting a realistic take on what costumed vigilantes might be like.
I never realized it would be that depressing.
I suppose that the art is fine, though very cramped dark. Other than that, it is quite good. The writing is OK as well.

I guess that true art is angsty, though, so this certainly fits the bill.

I would have considered us all to be comic geeks. weird. 
I guess there isn't as much overlap between computer programmers/engineers and comics readers as I thought.

I didn't really find watchmen depressing.  While there were sad parts about it, I found it very hopeful overall.

He might not have. If it was revealed he hadn't been hit but palmed another bullet to intimidate them, I wouldn't be surprised. World's smartest man and all that, right? As it is though, I think it's supposed to be ambiguous as to whether Ozymandias is really powered or not.

Sure is an optimistic end there, what with the psychic nuke going off in New York. The problem with his plan, though, is that even the simplest examination of a life form is going to show that it is earthly, not alien. Then, people are going to say "was it the Russians who made this thing?" and there ya go. Well, at least he read the Supervillan List and waited until after his plan had been enacted to tell all.
