I just recently was pointed to and read all of Ctrl+Alt+Dlt. I only saw it a day ago, but I read from the first page up to the newest in one sitting, and I love the series. Seems like it's kinda gotten slowed down from what I can tell though.

 Be prepared for a lot of criticism soon. I personally didn't mind it(Seriously, the miscarriage bit was not that bad people! Get over it!), but lots of people have a lot to complain about it.

 Then there my Bob and George and Adventurers stints. Lordy those took a while.

Well, that's one way of putting it.

It has occasional good ones, among those rare times it's actually updated.

Perry Bible Fellowship, Book of Biff, and 8-Bit Theater are probably my favorites.

No Need for Bushido is my favorite non-gag-based webcomic, and the Crank Octopus Comics are showing promise, though they're fairly new.

Well I can kind of see why people that read comics for funniness ( xkcd and cyanide & happiness are the ones I read if I want to laugh), but it seems like Ctrl+Alt+Dlt is actually trying to drift a bit away from that in order to develop a serious plot line, which I enjoy. I always have loved reading, but never have enough time. Comics with a plot (and not wapanese crap) draw me in because it can take that 3 page long description of a room, the people, their clothes, expressions, etc. and deliver it as a visual that is so much shorter to take in.

Also, since it has yet to be mentioned, Looking For Group.

Sometimes the shock value stuff isn't really enough to make a good comic, just like it can't make a good act.

VG Cats is kind of a webcomic version of Alice Cooper or Marilyn Manson. Shock value can't make up for lack of content/talent forever.

 Eh, some people look for shock value in humor. Just because it lacks other things doesn't make it bad. It may be bad in those respects, but it's purpose is fulfilled.

I very much dislike ctrl+alt+del, it was fun when it was just a wacky videogame based humor comic, but then it tried being serious...

I wonder how that change was ever even conceived, the characters aren't built for anything other than comedy. More importantly, i wonder if the author had any intention of being taken seriously when the 'dramatic' plot is interrupted randomly by standalone wacky humor comics (The only remotely good parts, I mean).

If it weren't for the fact that the universe bends over backwards to allow Ethan to succeed, his sheer unparalelled stupidity and incompetence would have rendered him friendless, jobless, and in a deep inescapable depression.

At first, I thought Ethan was an obvious author insert because his face is identical to that of the author's icon when he makes newsposts.

Then I realized, every character has that face. Every. Last. One.
Regardless of that, I still read it. It's not amazingawesome, but it's not like it's horrible.

I like in CAD how no one has any muscles in their jaws.  It's amazing they can speak.

Also, CAD and VGCats are bad webcomics.  That is not my opinion, that is objective fact.  It's in the math, and properly done math is never wrong.

It just so happens this "preference" as you call it is an objective truth one can gather knowledge of by using his the powers of perception.

Here's an example of a funny comic - the characters are stereotypical which contrary to backwards thinking( thus straight-thinking) is good. Because from the difference they create, which is not cosmetic and switchable allows them to create comedy.
It starts with a familiar phrase, and then leads into a dialogue which ends with a punchline performed through dialogue by characters instead of being performed by "0.0" facial expressions and gallons of blood/nudity.


This is as a contrast to the last comic made out of 21 panels.
I could argue most of those aren't really needed for this comic as the case usually is with CAD, but one could say the comic in whole isn't really needed.

It is basically author complaining about some bad joke he heard, or more likely one the self-depriciating cunt made himself. Then it continues portraying the blue cat as a complete idiot through a wave of jokes that are cliched ( apparently it's funny to make fun of cliches even as the very cliche is paroding itself) after which the pink one, that appears to have no personality other than being an avatar of the authors misguided agression and thirst for graphical gore, performs the abortion of the first cat's mother with a cloth hanger implying untold violence and mayhem.

(While trying to remember the English word for cloth hanger I found out the cloth hanger abortion is actually a real thing, making this comic less creative and more offensive)

Hopefully next time you won't mix up your motherfucking terms and accuse me of equality with the unwashed masses fellating the dealers of their cartoon gore brain stimulation.
