Hey, PETA are extremely dwarfish.  After all, they kill 90% of the adoptable animals they "rescue".

What do you know man? I spent 40 (count them) years as a paratrooper on a completely meat based diet (bovo-feli carnivore, if you want to apply labels, which I SO don't) and was constantly healthy, if not HEALTHIER, than those primitive eggplant heads. Sure people would screw around with me, putting peas in my meat shakes and broccoli in my meat shakes, but I held out, and stuck to my MORALS, MAN. I'd go for WEEKS (count them) without eating any more than the skin from my knuckles.
...

Only for Sea Kittens bub.

On a statistical front...
This one is from their breast milk campaign...

On behalf of PETA and our more than 2 million members and supporters,
2 Million people, out of 6,753 million. That means one person out of every 3,400 people you meet in the world actually believes this stuff. Consider that Polls typically place Vegans at 0.9% and 1.8% of the population. 0.9% of the US population is 2.7 million. This means there are more Vegans in the United States than PETA members in the world. People react in the extreme in opposition to PETA. At the most conservative estimates, the PETA organization could only occupy the smallest niche of Vegetarian Americans. This is with their Global population. If you increase your food intake to "thwart" these guys, what are you really doing? If you must increase the amount of food you take in, please work it off. Don't wage war against society in general with your destined flab. Or, cut out the veggies. Nothing wrong with cutting out the vegetables, just be sure to watch your calorie intake. Meat typically has more per pound.

:Duke 2.0: That does it. PETA is not run by humans. We are dealing with animals in human disguises. Sooner or later they will call for human meat to be used instead of animal meat.

I can see it now. PETA Brand "Soylent Green: The only meat to vary from person to person"  :D

Just one more reason (as if any rational person needed one) to regard PETA as the terribly unfunny joke they are.

I'm torn between thinking it's just deliberate ridiculousness to draw attention to them, or if they really believe all that crap.

I'm in the "deliberate ridiculousness"-camp personally :p
Seriously, no one in their right mind would believe in this stuff...
And if PETA members were psychological unstable enough to believe in it, they wouldn't be able to form the organization..

To be honest, I can come up with better reasons to not eat meat than they do, ie. actual figures and stuff, over "you wouldn't eat our pet dog would you?". Some of the stuff I know is pretty scary...

To be fair to psycological unstableness, they only managed to get 2 million people in the entire world of six billion. This is a world where a country with a population over a billion population sees higher than 35% rates for vegatarianism. So is it that unbelievable that they believe and run it? You'd only need a few that could be unstable and run it, the rest are free to be totally unstable.

Actually, vegitarians can be vegitarians for enviromental reasons, not because they like animals. As I said, some of the statistics are a little scary.

Mmm, well the persons in charge would have to be psychopatic unstable then..

They aren't all delusional fanatics.

There are the people at the top who are making loads of money off the delusional fanatics.  It's just like Scientology.

Erm, does anyone consider that renaming fish, sea-kittens would, if anything, make them more tasty? I mean, I've run enough fortresses on kittens, I assume a slightly greasier taste would not go down too-too bad.
