I know I AM on 40d, can't remember if it was 40d5 or 40d42. Also, I'm using Mike Mayday's graphics set. Maybe the modding of the 'economic stones' just made the generic 'rock' item? except clear zircon wasn't on the list any ways, enabled or not.

You didn't by any chance copy in the new files without clearing out the old ones, did you? That could cause this bug.

i deleted the old files and installed the new ones.

Installing any new version of DF by swapping files around is generally a bad idea.

I completely erased the old install, and reinstalled the game using mike mayday's set. no file switching, just reinstallation with different graphics and the newest version.

Oh, never mind. I thought you were mixing and matching, since some people will just erase/overwrite *some* of the old files instead of doing it fresh.
