Hell, if thats the weirdest thing you've done in a dream, you must have boring dreams.  :P

Ummm, I don't think seeing everyone as ascii is your biggest problem:

I was on my bike [I don't own a bike]
???

I was trying to demonstrate that even the very premise of the dream, me going on a bike ride, made no sense.

Fallout 3 and L4D back-to-back caused some complications.

Mind you I mostly play freeware and indie games due to a lack of a budget.

So as you can imagine, after beating the hard mode of Cave Story and then a year later playing Spelunky, my deaths in an already death-happy game rose due to stupid things like jumping instead of attacking or attacking instead of jumping.

Then there is the matter of consoles allowing you to press every key at the same time, where modern keyboards only allow three inputs an once. When it comes to, say Super Mario World where you want to run, jump and hold an item at once things can get very aggravating.

what is this game you speak of?

Cave Story is a very nice indie 2D platform shooter adventure.
Spelunky is another nice indie 2D adventure game that is compared to a Roguelike Platformer.
Super Mario World came out for the SNES, and is illegal to use in an emulator. I used it as an example, as everybody should know the situation.

Speaking of Super Mario world... I think Louis Armstrong played it too much.

Look for a downloads tab with the deluxe version. Comes with some nifty things.

Known as the first indie game of its time with that much quality and polish. Nowadays there are other indie games considered 'better', but they likely would not have come if not for Cave Story mobilizing the indie community. Now we have stuff like Aquaria, Knytt Stories and other things moving us along.

I have had this at least twice recently. The most recent was because of the tabs in IE7 and Opera, which allow you to middle-click on them to close them. After some time I began trying to middle-click-close various other windows and tabs, including WinAmp and Photoshop on several occasions. I was surprised when it worked in Azureus.

The other was caused by Supreme Commander. Those GPG people weren't kidding when they said that after playing, you wouldn't return to any game without strategic zoom. After a month or so of playing it, I've been trying to zoom away in pretty much every game I met, always being disappointed by the imposed limits.

Aye I can't play any other rts now :( and another thing that SoCom enlightened me to was proportional units, like I resonantly got c&c 3 red alert and I just could not stand to look at it with its infantry units as big and tanks and boats and no zoom out. Just can't believe why a games let you zoom in to see the grass but not allow you too zoom out more that a foot (I think)

Ah yes one other thing I once tried to the the Yoshi hover jump in real life without realizing it. xD

Please please please tell me you have pics. That would be funny.

I tend to slip into the control schemes of different games quickly and easily, and it rarely presents a problem. Though, I have noticed, when I'm dozing in front of the TV with the remote or playing my Wii, I will sometimes wiggle what I'm holding to keep the screensaver from turning on.

I found really dark brown liquid that didn't smell or taste like anything.  It was really strange.
Tylui: sticking unknown brown substances into his mouth for over 10 years.

Heh. Sigged.

On one occasion several years ago after playing excessively on various fps's where the character opens doors by moving their hand toward them rather than actually using the handle, I got somewhat annoyed trying to open the doors on the way home after a night out when they wouldn't open when I used them, mimicking the actions from the game.
