I am trying to make cats as destructive as possible. I want to give them alot of size and fat so the boom is extra big. I also am trying to make them drop lingite on death.

Also, I can make swords out of my old kitties? 8U THE SWORD OF MOUSE-SLAYING. IT IS MENACING WITH WHISKERS.

Well, I tested this out, and they all instantly froze to death, leaving nothing but blood.

Try removing homeotherm and layering. They won't need those with FIXED_TEMP.

regardless, the slime shooter will be completed, come hell or high water, which are both entirely plausible setbacks at this point.

Thank you. Ill try that. But they still are feezing and they have evaporating bones.

EDIT: How do I get them to drop lignite, that's not working?

I think your fixed temp has too many zeroes. Try setting it to 60000, maximum is a little over that.

[ITEMCORPSE:STONE:NO_SUBTYPE:STONE:LIGNITE] should work.

They drop lignite, but not erupt into flames. They still freeze. I think I need homeotherm/layering still.

Actually, I got pissed at the humans for killing the majority of my last fort and forcing us to abandon, so now I'm spawning a fortress in there capitol, with 1000 exploding cats. Im also temporarily fireproofing dwarves so that I can watch the destruction.

Why don't you just make a cat that use a [ITEMCORPSE] tag to spawn a dead body of an exploding cat so your cat's exist without exploding till a goblin or something tries to wreak havoc on your fortress only to wind up with pieces of Mister Fluffy in him?

I think that one of the problems is that since they have a corpse item, the body is replaced too quickly to explode.  Also, [SEVERONBREAKS] is required for flaming body parts to go flying.

Okay, Ill try that. Also, can you spawn barrels of beer on death? If so I could make "beer cats" to come along with the igniters for firey fun.

Nope. Currently, you can't make occupied containers via itemcorpse or reactions.

You MIGHT be able to make puddles of booze, though. Keep in mind that if you do, if I remember correctly, booze doesn't really "explode," just boil away. The boiling booze cloud can be dangerous, of course, but judging from your cats, if a dwarf steps in a booze cloud, the cat will be the least of his worries.

Also, you can only have one itemcorpse per creature, I think. So you wouldn't be able to drop lignite AND booze puddles.

No idea why they're freezing. FIXED_TEMP should prevent them from receiving temperature damage.

Yeah, only one itemcorpse per creature. Later entries in the same creature will just override previous ones.
