Dead threads rising.

Dead thread? It had been 15 days! Jeez...

Maybe if dwarfes do nog get buried they come back. This would put those tombs to a real us at last.

Yeah, I'm all for this. Though I appreciate the purely aesthetic and open-ended nature of stuff in the game I'd feel happier if most things also had a real (or more than one) use, and this would make tombs more interesting.

If I wanted to recreate the world of one of my favorite stories, I should be able to specify that there is a civilization called Groan, ruled by Earls from a castle called Gormanghast.
You won't have trouble supplying the Countess with cats, or producing the annual idols to be offerred to the castle. Every fortress is a pale reflection of Ghormenghast..

It would also be awesome for the zombie apoc mods, if ALL dead guys came back in a week or two....

I had to think of the Thief-Series. There were a lot undeads there and they were mostly in places, were bad things happened - and surely they weren't just alive again but really just mindless zombies, killing everything in their way.

Maybe if dwarfes do nog get buried they come back. This would put those tombs to a real us at last.
Maybe the size of a tomb could be related to how skillfull the dwarf was - if it is too small for its greatness he will come back to threaten your fortress until you either bring him down or give him a fitting tomb with engravings and statues and whatnot.

Hell no to this part. I don't want my fortress getting raped by zombies because all my dipshit little 'no job' peasants ignored the Pull Lever job that would've stopped the pumps. Also, what determines the required tomb? I don't want to give a royal masoleum to some numbnuts that made an artifact bronze mitten.

Only dwarves who list tombs in their requirements should ever require a tomb. Whether artifact makers and other legends should demand tombs is another question altogether.

I'd like properly buried dwarves to be less likely to come back to haunt you.
