Prime numbers are overrated; they are easy to understand, yet are seemingly chaotic. Their value relies on man's pattern-seeking ability.

The golden ratio, now that's more interesting. Nothing mystical about it, it's an easily reachable number which is handy in the construction of spirals; this explains why it occurs alot in nature. But I am rambling.
