I'm always trying to kill the most monsters in a row by jumping on them without touching the ground. I died twice because i forget those plant thing eat ya if you do :/

BTW, does anyone know the use of the title screen flare? Is it supposed to be used in an Easter egg or what?

I think it's just for theatric effect, you can carry it into the shortcut room, but not into the game or up the exit rope (indie drops it automatically if you try).

By repeatedly throwing myself off the Spelunky title, I've deduced that you have infinite health while in the main menu area.

If you watch the intro movie, the flare is a part of it. It's what lights up the room.

Don't you just hate it when 2 Yetis play tennis with you? Had that happen a few times... Last time, one of them eventually missed and i went flying into some spikes. 


And where's the Wiki?

I've had to search for a few hours and ask on various other forums before I finally found a link to the elusive Spelunky Wiki.  Someone should really make a text file with all the titles and urls of every site on the internet or something.

I've beaten the game about 12 times now. STILL haven't gotten the city of gold.
