This game makes me smile, even when it hurts me.

I'm trying my best to play the game blind. That is, without reading any help.

It's fun finding all the things can can hurt you. The ghost popping out of nowhere (I wasn't aware what ghosts did) and killing my ass in one hit, priceless.

latest death: rock bounced off a wall and smacked me.

I'm not a proponent of theft, as it sort of makes all the money you gather useless. I haven't tried the gun out yet, but i'm studying the art of rock throwing.

Not quite. You said you didn't want to read any help, so I'll stop with that.

Apparently their are casinoes set up in these caves, as i've gotten to play craps. Lost alot of money (per usual, as i'm a terrible gambler, and the fact that i don't know how to play craps doesn't help).

I found an idol, that when i picked it up, the screen started rumbling. I wasn't sure what was happening, and then a giant boulder falls on me! Goes to show that i can't remember Indiana Jones movies when i need to most. That idol must be pretty precious.

Meh, those rolling rocks are USEFUL....  I think I usually get more cash from knocking out swathes of the dungeon with them from the idol itself...  (Actually, I haven't done any comparison, but it feels that way)

Ok guys, I give, i need help.

How do you start off at the new worlds you get to? i ran into this guy that asked me for 100,000$ to build a shortcut. Is that what i gotta do?

Also, concerning all the little bags you find. I've taken it as my personal policy to whip any and all that i find from a safe distance in case a spider or a snake pops out of one, so it'll die instantly. But does doing this reduce my odds of getting some good treasure out of one? I'm just super paranoid.

It's not as bad as it sounds. The amount you paid is saved when you die. On each run through the first four levels, I had anywhere between 10 and 30k. Not much, but it also didn't take long to pay him off.

Once you pay him the money, he makes a quick shortcut to that world.

And those arn't bags, they are pots, and the same money comes out if you throw or whip them.

You set how much you want to give then press the whip button to give the money.

Ustxu Iceraped the Frigid Crystal of Slaughter was a glacier titan. It was the only one of its kind. A gigantic feathered carp composed of crystal glass. It has five mouths full of treacherous teeth, enormous clear wings, and ferocious blue eyes. Beware its icy breath! Ustxu was associated with oceans, glaciers, boats, and murder.

Also, once it's unlocked, just explore around the room you select 'new game' from and it'll be readily apparent.

Thanks alot guys, that helps.

I've noticed that the block pushing is sorta glitched. Some blocks you can't push, and i had this on instance where i pushed a block off a ledge, then immediately fell off the ledge, and only fell a few block heighths and got damaged as though i'd fallen from a great height. odd.

also, has anyone else noticed how the physics for items seems delayed when an item goes offscreen? If one throws an object, or a trap triggers offscreen, then the arrow or object will wait until you scroll to reveal it before it finishes falling.

I really love how enemies seem to follow the same rules that you do though. That they can die in traps and be killed in the environment. The ones with pathing AI though seem to prematurely trigger sometimes. sometimes, like spiders falling or bats starting to follow you, despite being in separate rooms and they shouldn't be able to see you.

I love the GCS though, nice touch.

also, is it just me, or does the music sound like it came directly off of Cave Story?
