Yeah, and every adventurer the ghost goes over turns into a giant gold idol. That's why the ghosts target you.

Okay, does derekyu.com seem to be down for anyone else? I'm kind of surprised that the game itself is not hosted on spelunkyworld.com, along with everything else.

Better alive than dead, but some of those cavemen get kinda squirrly.

When i try and run Spelunky Explorer, it shows two lines of text and then throws an error:

Just dodge it. Press esc right after continuing, or just keep closing the error windows until it goes away.

There were a couple of other bugs I came across: A dropped map was considered shop property when on the ground about 15 tiles above the shop in question, and I was unable to bet in a dice house on a shop-heavy map, among other things.

I love shop heavy maps. A few times, I've managed to get fully rigged out, save a cape instead of the jetpack, on the first level.

I love the no ghost, but the giant levels are tricksy. Havn't managed to get past the second level yet due to running out of ways to get through walls XD

I was gonna say, there's no ghost time limit because the levels are so large. I just started playing one of the dark jungle levels, where you need a flare. I'm starting at the bottom, and I can't fathom climbing up with a flare and so few ropes left. Oh well, here goes.

I was trying to buy all the shit in his shop, and you know how he runs over when you buy stuff? Well he was standing on the last item i wanted to buy, so i went to pick it up.

And picked him up.


One shotgun blast to the face later and i had an aneurysm.

Spelunky world does host it, not sure what's messing up for you, but try this link here or here if still having problems.
