A quick question regarding 40d>fuzz<

Have there been any gameplay changes since 40d? or is it just graphics engine updates in d1-5?

... though, it does make all of your lost socks reappear and keeps the cat from clawing your furniture.

Toady has implemented Baughn's code since 40d, that's all. Some people will end up having more FPS, but according to the poll, some people have less FPS now. I don't notice any difference so far.

Ive found that screwing up your init and mod installs is a quick way to = 0 FPS in 40d5.
I suggest you don't do it.

Thanks guys, i didn't think there's been any gameplay changes, and was wondering if i should upgrade. I'll wait till 41 or whatever it turns out to be.

Ive gotton a steady medium-low FPS, instead of spikes of lag and supar high FPS.

Isnt that vierd?  :o

Given that the version number is [core_items].[req_items].[bloats][bugfix_letter]

And that 28.181.40d and 28.181.40d5 have the same numbers...

I'd hazzard a guess at NO.

^^^ It'll only be 41 if Toady does exactly one bloat.  He'll probably do at least a couple, making it a bit higher.

3 core items in fact.

Track wounds individually and do scarring (and thereby remove phantom limb pain and unconsciousness) (part of Core74)
Wound infection and some other diseases (part of Core74)
Make caves and the underground more interesting (Core91) 
Appearance tags for the raws and associated data (beards, color, etc.) (Core92)

Well, at least two cores finished, anyway.
So it'll be 30.1xx.xx
We're pretty much guaranteed a ton of bloats and reqs when completing a core, so I can't possibly guess at those.
