Aaaand PayPal no doubt took every single cent in transaction fees. Really, large lump payments are less likely to be sucked dry by wandering accountant vampires.

2.9% of $3.12 works out to .09048 cents, plus the 30 cents I believe they might charge on top of that. That's 39 cents off, which is 2.73. More than it should be charged, but hardly "every single cent".

I don't want to be that guy (or something), but every little bit helps, no?

I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Dwarf Fortress. :P Now I need no car... or friends... or SOME money... or nobles...

hehe the first time I donated, it was $13.37 .  I'll be more 1337 if I donated $14.08 though.   The sad thing is, if a Final Retail DF was released in stores by Bay12, I'd probably buy that too.

I just bought a bunch of stuff yesterday and had $3.12 left on the $40 credit card thing (debt card?) I don't know.  There's nothing you can buy with $3.12 so I sent it to Toady!!





EDIT:  Yes he got the left overs, but he got the good left overs!  ;D

30 + 0.09 does not equal 39.
2.9% of $3.12 does not equal 0.09 cents, it's dollars.

$3.12 * 0.3 = $0.09 + $0.30 = $0.39
